Bobcat Foundation Dollars for Scholars® started as a dream of Scott Schroeder, a longtime teacher at UHS and 1966 graduate.  At their 30 year reunion, Scott, Robert Sheehy  and other  classmates made a commitment to provide funds for a start-up program to award scholarships to UHS graduating seniors.  Within a few months the Bobcat Foundation Dollars for Scholars chapter was formed, an affilliation with Scholarship America® Dollars for Scholars was initiated, and $8000 in scholarships were awarded to several members of the class of 1997.

The original members of the group were:  Scott and fellow alumni Donna Patterson, Steve Sheehy, Joyce Baxter, Carol Weaver, and UHS teachers Jerry Matthews and Wayne Herron.

Fast forward to the present and you will discover that over $388,000 have been awarded to our students since the creation of the Bobcat Foundation Dollars for Scholars chapter!  This is an amazing accomplishment for such a small school and community.  It would not have been possible without the generous support of our many alumni and community friends.

Many thanks to all....!!!
